Churchtown Project - Before & after

We wanted to share the before and after pictures of this beautiful South Dublin home we designed in 2018.

This was a dormer bungalow which our clients had just bought. The house was tired and needed updating; our clients wanted personality, style and life in their home and we were delighted to help!

Deep , vibrant colours, luxurious fabrics and metallic tones were used throughout to create a feeling of comfort and indulgence. Whilst the shapes of all the furniture and accessories were carefully considered to provide contrast and create a modern feel.

The entrance and formal living room had beautiful light and original features but was dated. We put crisp modern colours on the walls and brought fresh, interesting shapes into the spaces using the lighting, furniture and accessories. The formal living room was brought to life with jewels tone in the seating and rug.

The Garden Room had great light and proportions, but we wanted to connect it to the garden and create some WOW factor. We used a beautiful, illustrated wallpaper throughout the space with both the colour and the motifs on the wallpaper echoing the garden outside. Warm yellow and orange were used to lift the space whilst the built in unit was updated with a strong, dark grey and gold knobs.

A deep green colour was used on the master bedrooms walls with dramatic dark florals in the blinds. A statement pendant created impact with the shapes of the light mirrored in the bedside lamps.

For their daughter's room, our clients knew they wanted colour and fun. We layered the same Roald Dahl inspired pattern in contrasting colours on the walls and in blinds, whilst some colourful art created an eclectic feel in the room.
